Today I had a photoshoot with a large group and decided that just in case, I needed an assistant. Since my house was overrun with girls at the time, I thought the best thing to do would be to rescue the boy. The last time he was my assistant was nearly tragic, we almost lost him to a strong gust of wind when it caught the reflector. Luckily the father of the family I was photographing saw him and caught him before he landed in the pond. He has been dismissed from duty since, however we thought since he's had a growth spurt recently, maybe he would be safe. Of course, I forgot the reflector I use now is at least twice the size of the old one. But he only almost blew away once, and I kept him away from the water sources. Then I paid him with a huge Bahama Buck's snowcone.
Now. This assistant of mine is famous for not smiling. He makes a face that looks more like a snarl. As I was setting up for the family to arrive, he was looking around the parking lot and I thought "hmmm...this is my fave lens, he's standing right there and looking so handsome. Wonder if he'd keep that smile on his face if I asked him to look at me?" And he DID! So today, he gets to have his irresistible freckles features on the blog.
