3 minute Christmas photos
So I wasn't happy with the individual shots of little bit from our card shoot the other night. The sun went down behind some buildings and it was getting late. I had to bump up to iso 800. Not good. Today, she was being so sweet and I talked her into a couple minutes in front of the tree with her new hat and scarf that she loves (thanks Kim!). I think keeping it short and sweet is the key with my girl! Oh, and she smiles just like her daddy too.

Quick leaf shoot
My oldest has been wanting some shots in her coat and the leaves, and we had a 5 minute break in the clouds right before sunset. We only had about a 3 foot section of our yard that even has leaves since someone, ahem, daddy, keeps raking them up before we can get to them. Worked out perfect since I was wanting a shot of her for a 12x12 for our wall.

Brrrr...it was cold!
Here's your sneak peek my friend.
I had so much fun exercising, um, I mean photographing, my best friends little ones. I love these two dearly. The girl is my youngest daughter's best friend so keeping mine out of the shots was a bit tricky. But she and I had a deal. She could make lots of silly faces, and then she had to smile pretty (and NOT the "cheese" smile either). I was so proud of her. All I had to do was tell her I needed to see some attitude, and little diva came right out! The little one, well, he was just in awe of all the sticks and rocks. And man, is he fast! I was so worried I didn't get anything good of him, but I think his are my favorites.

My weekend in Austin
I attended a workshop this weekend in Austin. I got to spend some time with one of my very best friends and her family, and then met a bunch of new ladies. I had an even better time than I could have imagined. I thought I'd post a few of my favorite shots that I've had a chance to work on so far. I'm sure there will be more to come since I shot for 3 days!
My first senior of 2009!
I am totally unsure of how this girl turned into a senior already. I've known her since she was barely out of elementary school. I had a lot of fun with her, and thanks to mom and her big sister for helping make her laugh! I'll have more soon, as it got dark before we could get to our other location.

Off we go!
I decided to start off my new photography blog with a few of my youngest child. It was a special day for me. The day that she actually SAT STILL for me to take her photo. I almost cried I was so excited. But those of you who know me well, know I do not cry easily, and usually only if I am mad. So we settled for the less messy option of lots and lots of excited hugs.
